School Bullying and Personality Traits from Elementary School to University

Abstract This retrospective study examines involvement in school bullying at all developmental stages, from elementary to university, relation personality traits. Participants were 216 university students, 162 (75.0%) females and 54 (25.0%) males. The majority of the sample (88.9%) aged 18–24. Students completed International Personality Items Pool (BFFM) a self-report questionnaire about online. results show that roles trait A3 (don’t insult) Agreeableness (A) scale differ significantly educational levels. However, E6 Extraversion (E) Conscientiousness (C) level, N6 Neuroticism (N) varies middle N3 differs high school. All participants statistically A3, Those involved traits Neuroticism, C8, C9 two Openness (O). Throughout course schooling, victims showed higher score on than bullies/victims. who became bullies (victims/bullies) had Emotional Stability (bullies/victims). About half said experience affected them positively other negatively. answered it positive impact significant difference characteristics E7 (talkativeness) N10 (pleasant mood). findings help inform new perspective anti-bullying intervention targets their rotation.
